Foxtail Hollow began as a dream to raise Miniature American Shepherds in a way that reflects how we believe dogs should live - inside a home, woven into family life and raised with intention from the very beginning.

​

We are located in eastern North Carolina, raising Miniature American Shepherd puppies for families across NC and nationwide. Our dogs live right alongside us. They are part of our everyday routines - the quiet mornings, the busy afternoons and the normal rhythms of a full home with teens and young adults. Our dogs are first and foremost beloved companions to us. Our breeding program exists within that foundation, not separate from it.

Over time, our program has grown thoughtfully but our structure has remained the same: raising healthy and happy puppies with a good foundation to become beloved companions to their future families.

Our Approach to Raising Puppies

We believe those early weeks matter deeply. From birth until they leave for their new families, our puppies are raised inside our home and gently exposed to everyday household life. They are handled daily, socialized intentionally and carefully observed so we come to understand each puppy's unique personality.

Every puppy goes home:

-Vet examined

-Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations

-Dewormed and microchipped

-Temperament evaluated

-Thoughtfully matched to the right family

We intentionally plan limited litters at a time so that each litter and each puppy receives the individual attention and early foundation we believe sets them up for long term success.

About Our Registration

​

Our dogs are registered through AKC and/or ASDR. The AKC recognizes the breed as the Miniature American Shepherd while ASDR registers Toy and Mini Australian Shepherds.

While registry names may vary, our focus remains the same: raising healthy, well-balanced Miniature American Shepherds who thrive as family companions.

Yes. Our Miniature American Shepherd dogs reside inside our home and their puppies are raised inside our home as part of our daily family life.

How many litters do you raise at one time?

We intentionally plan limited litters and typically focus on one or two at a time to ensure each puppy receives individual attention.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We personally transport our puppies and offer hand delivery nationwide.

Do you sell to breeders?

Our priority is companion homes. Select breeding placements may be considered on a limited, case-by-case basis.
